Step into the lyrical world of Ruby Rose

Ruby is an experienced and talented musician in the Durban area. She is an inspiration. As an autoimmune and chronic neuro pain sufferer, she still lets nothing stop her! She is a force to be reckoned with and her voice is magical. The events I have attended where she is singing always have a fun vibe and everyone is singing along, dancing or just enjoying the soothing melodies. She plays mostly at private functions and a few Durban area venues.

She loves singing various types of music including 70's, 80's, Country, Pop, Jazz, Afrikaans, Contemporary and great Ballads.

Mom said I was born screaming

What are your favourite songs to perform?

I love performing any song that makes the heart happy or dancing songs of the 70/80's. I love all genres.

What was a highlight for you in your music career?

I enjoyed the duo situation, one can still get a few pennies to share. My favourite time was doing Abba and the Springbok hits show with the famous Bev Mack: such fun and laughter yet hard work.

What are your thoughts on the music scene in Durban?

Durban Durban, it's sad to say that most bands today are made up of the same "musicians " It's been the quietest start of the year for decades. This is noted by most.

Who are your favourite Durban bands?

Favorite bands now... there are some amazing vocalists, both men and women.
